Hahloo

HAHLOO creates and teaches online language courses.  Courses will be taught for a total of 6 weeks ( 18 class sessions, 30 minutes each) in the Central Time Zone NOT Eastern Time Zone On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights.  Currently, we are offering courses for the Hmong language.  Each class will be taught Live by one Hmong Instructor to a group of 4 Students.  Each course will be $200 per student. Hmong Language Beginners Course Description:

 

The Beginners Course is targeted to students ages 5-16 years old who have little to no experience with the Hmong language.  Participants will:

  • Learn simple phrases and sentences

  • Learn single consonants, numbers, pronouns, colors, food, and body parts

  • Monitor their learning progression through assessments5

7:00 PM - 7:30 PM CST

7:40 PM - 8:10 PM CST

8:20 PM - 8:50 PM CST

9:00 PM - 9:30 PM CST

Hmong Language Intermediate Course Description: 

 

The Intermediate Course is targeted to students ages 5-16 years old who have completed the beginners course or have experience learning the Hmong language in other programs. Participants will:

  • Review and build on content skills learned during beginners course. 
  • Learn double consonants, vowels, and tones. 
  • Practice speaking, reading and writing in the targeted Hmong dialect.
  • Monitor their learning progression through assessments.
 
 
Both Beginners and Intermediate courses are taught for a total of 6 weeks (18 class sessions, 30 minutes each) in the Central Time Zone on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. Each class will be taught by one Hmong Instructor to a group of 4 students. Class session times will be:

 Hmong Language Advanced Course Description: 

 

The Advanced Course is targeted to students ages 5-16 years old who have completed the beginners and intermediate HAHLOO Hmong Language courses or have experience learning the Hmong language in other programs. Participants will read, write, and present short Hmong passages in the targeted Hmong dialect by:

 

  • Reviewing and building on content skills learned during beginners and intermediate courses. 

  • Practice speaking, reading and writing in the targeted Hmong dialect while learning about the Hmong history and culture. 

  • Monitoring their learning progression through assessments.

Advance courses will be taught for a total of 6 weeks (18 class sessions, 45 minutes each) in the Central Time Zone on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday nights. Each class will be taught by one Hmong Instructor to a group of 4 students. Class session times will be:
